NFL Cowboys 3 Pack Rubber Wristbands
One size fits most with these rubber wristbands.
Six shooters, covered wagons, teepees and horses galloping off into the sunset, such is the world of a 7-year-old watching 1950s cowboy movies. Even as a child growing up in the inner-city of Pittsburgh, the pull of the “West” with its open range, spirit of freedom, and aura of individuality made sense to me.
I could picture the original Native Americans. And I imagined immigrants of just about every nationality longing for a life outside the urban stage set: pioneers, prospectors, cattlemen, railroad men, shopkeepers, scouts, farmers, and soldiers.
A passion for the “Old West” has spurred an active collectibles market among baby boomers. Blame it on Sky King, the Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers or Gene Autry, but the mystique is clearly present for collectors west of the Mississippi.
There are trendy aspects of cowboy collectibles like vintage clothing, and boots that can sell for thousands and go in and out of fashion,” says Joseph Sherwood of High Noon Western Collectibles in Mesa, Ariz. “Then there are the pure history items like saddles, bits, spurs and chaps that don’t ebb and flow in value as much.”
Spurs and chaps are as much a part of the American cowboy mystique as turkey is to the American Thanksgiving dinner table. |

Cowboy Action Shooting is the fastest growing sport in America. The holsters that follow are but a few of the many styles that I make. Single and double thick gun belts and money belts with or without bullet loops.
I use "Packing Iron" as a source for my holsters and I follow the original designs closely. All of my designs are of the plain working type holsters worn and used by cowboys.
Designed to go with your cowboy rig. Can be located anywhere on your gunbelt.
Most cowpunchers were poor, unmarried and transient. So their attire was pretty basic, mostly horse gear, a bed roll, hat, bandanna, shirts, a vest, Levis, a yellow rain slicker, boots, and whatever small accessories would fit into a saddlebag.
A cowboy’s most important possession was his saddle. Saddles like boots were often custom-made, running as much as a year’s salary. Spurs, or “gut hooks” came in a big variety. The large-roweled spurs were popular because they had more points and were not as likely to dig into a horse’s flank. Nowadays, collectors fancy the decorated spurs and those inset with silver.
The bridle, a horse’s headgear, is the base for the bit and reins. All three are collected today with the older, unusual examples being the most sought after. |
